Homework Help is Just Around the Corner

We are excited to launch our Homework Help program for middle and high school students next week! It starts next Thursday, October 11 and runs from 4:00 – 5:00pm each week.

The program this year is primarily for math as we have a math tutor, Dana Sammons, who is knowledgable in all high school math. He has lots of experience in helping students who struggle with mathematics; he teaches at their level and helps students understand the problems in a new way.

The Homework Help program is especially nice for this age group because it doesn’t require registration or a long-term commitment. Students do not need to sign up or schedule a tutor time; they simply show up with their work (assignment, textbook, and reviews for quizzes, tests and exams) to receive tutoring help. Furthermore, students can come and go at any time and are not committed to come every week.

If students don’t need tutoring help but still want a place to do their homework or use our free WiFi, that’s perfectly fine! And if students need help with other subjects besides math, we will do our best to help them.

Thanks to all the volunteers who make our after school programs a great success!
