The Streams of Hope High “Achievers” school program embarked on a trip this summer to Chicago for the weekend as a reward for finishing out the school year and summer program. The young people were exposed to and embraced a different city life and culture, an experience they wouldn‘t be able to see or partake in without the program.

We did various activities from bowling to riding ATVs and seeing fireworks; the young people were able to experience a city at its peak for the summer. The young people were able to make this trip possible through community sponsorship and fundraisers through out the school year and summer, and through a partnership with the Grand Rapids Urban League and Grand Rapids Public Schools.
